Yes, apple crisp is one of my favorites all-time dessert. My grandma used to make this yummy dessert and it is just perfect with a vanilla ice cream.
I also often make this easy apple crisp recipe and it turns out perfect every time.
It is simpler and easier than apple pie recipe but comes with similarly yummy flavor.
When I was preparing for thanksgiving party, there was much little space left in my refrigerator.
But what about the apple crisp that I made?

Then, my answer is yes, you can make apple crisp in advance.
You can make apple crisp the day before. Then you need to store it in a refrigerator.
You can reheat in the oven just before serving it.
You can also keep apple crisp in the freezer until you are ready to serve. On the day of serving, reheat in the oven.
How to Make Ahead Apple Crisp with Toppings?
The Apple crisp with toppings, you can bake 1 to 2 days ahead. You can store it in the refrigerator for a few days. Before serving you can reheat in the oven.
8 cups peeled and sliced apples
2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup water
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ cup melted butter
½ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup almond flour
1 cup oats
Pinch of salt
- Heat up the oven to 350°F.
- Take a large baking dish. Mix apple slices and lemon juice in this dish.
- Toss the cinnamon and flour. Pour water and maple syrup evenly.
- Melt the butter in the microwave-safe bowl. Toss the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Add the almond flour, oats and pinch of salt. Mix it with a fork until it becomes crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake it uncovered for 45 minutes. Bake it until the apples become soft and topping gets a golden color.
For making this ahead:
Cool it thoroughly after baking. Cover it properly and keep in the refrigerator for 2 days. Reheat at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. Make sure it becomes warm.
Does Apple Crisp Need to be Refrigerated?
